  • 300w power supply for Athlon??

    Hello all

    I am just about to purchase a new Athlon board, hopefully a Microstar one, i was just curious as to whether i will need to buy a new powwer supply, as so far i have seen quite a few supplier sites plugging there 300w "Athlon Approved"? PSU

    Any ideas on whether this is true or just an excuse for these suppliers to take more of my dosh

    Ideally you should use a 300W or better PSU. My MS6167+Athlon 500 works fine using a 250W though

          I just purchased an Addtronics case with a Topower SSA 300w. Anybody ever use one with an Athlon?
