  • Incorrect DVD Volume name

So I have a "Scrubs" DVD that I watch here and there on my Win XP PC.

However, even when it's not in my drive, the drive volume label is always SCRUBS. And I always have the right-click "play" option.

    WTF?

    Yeahhh.

A friend once showed me how Windows wouldn't give the name back afetr a disc had been inserted.
I think it only happens in the explorer view ?

Can you get a screen cap of it, with the explorer view, and all the drives being shown in the main window?

AFAIK, in the main window it should be OK, and in the explorer tree, it will still be 'Scrubs'...

(Just a theory, will not work for everyone. I have never had this problem myself, but have seen it first hand.)

It's a windows bug, it happens when you disable autoplay explorer doesn't see when a new disc is inserted pressing F5 etc doesn't help. I beleive there's a fix out for this issue or you could enable autoplay again.
      Main: Dual Xeon LV2.4Ghz@3.1Ghz | 3X21" | NVidia 6800 | 2Gb DDR | SCSI
      Second: Dual PIII 1GHz | 21" Monitor | G200MMS + Quadro 2 Pro | 512MB ECC SDRAM | SCSI
      Third: Apple G4 450Mhz | 21" Monitor | Radeon 8500 | 1,5Gb SDRAM | SCSI
