  • Shortcut to "Dekstop"???

I am wondering if its possible to make a shortcut to dekstop.. not the screen desktop, but, the desktop that pops up in a seperate window.

The reason being that I have NO icons on my screen desktop and have function keys assigned to the more relevant programs and I want one for desktop. You know, hit F1 and a window with my desktop contents pops up.

    Thanks!!

Just open explorer and rightclick on "c:\windows\desktop" and drag to the desktop and then choose "create shortcut here".
Or rightclick on the desktop and then choose "new shortcut" and then select "c:\windows\desktop".
Or blah blah blah there are lots of ways.

Ooops, and then rightclick on the shortcut and choose properties and assign a key.

you can also drop the desktop folder onto the "start" menu and put it there. Hit F4 to open start and choose desktop. A folder with all your desktop items pops up. Well that's how I did/do it. So I don't have to minimze all open windows, to get to a desktop item
