  • WMP starts when opening firefox

So the other day, I was on a site that had an attached video. I clicked on the link and saw the video clip (which opened in an external Windows Media Player window). I later closed the browser.

I have my firefox set so that it opens all of my previously loaded tabs each time i start the browser. Since that day, every time i start my browser, WMP opens as well, and begins playing the video.

It doesn't seem malicious or anything, but just odd. It's as if firefox remembers that clip for some reason (even though it's source page is long gone), and insists on playing it every time.

Is there a way to edit which of my last tabs launch, short of losing them all?

    Anyone have any insight?

Are you seeing a blank page among your tabs? That could be the page with the link to the video.

edit: There wasn't a blank one, but there was one with a picture of a big plug, and I guess that launched WMP.

How did I miss that the other 5 times I looked through my twentysomething tabs?

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.
