  • R.i.p. Pc4200

So I had acquired 4*512MB PC4200 (533MHz). When I ordered my new system last week (Q6600, MSI Neo2-FR, 500GB, HD2600Pro) I thought I'd save some money and use that for now.

Trouble is the mobo only supports 667MHz and 800MHz memory, as I found out when the damn thing wouldn't boot. So I'm now the proud owner of 2GB PC6400 Corsair Dominator for another £82 and finally have a working system.

So watch out when speccing a new mobo that it will support your lowly PC4200 DDR2 sticks!
