    Actually looks really cool (probably a bit overpriced, but still)

    Not sure about the built-in 5.1 1000W though...

    The price isn't actually that bad compared to other media centers. Looks pretty cool too.

      200watt peak so probably 50w per channel.

      Spring clips!!! Should have gone speakon for coolness. Would never have fit though.

        It really makes you wonder what person that has that kind of money to spend on a HTPC will settle for a crippled amplifier. They should take out the amp and offer it for a little less.

          At the AMD/Microsoft tech tour they demonstrated a new line of similar products from AMD using ATI's set top box chips.

          My feeling is that there is going to be a lot of movement in this space over the next few years.

            They are making the Hangar 18 a "digital home theater in a box" solution. The majority on electronics consumers don't care about the finer details of their audio, as long as they can hear the booms and understand what people are saying.
