I'm running an XP box alongside of an ubuntu box with synergy.

The XP box is running the server.

The linux box is running the client.

They're both on the same network switch.

However, every 5-10 minutes, while I'm using the linux box, I get an error from my server: "synergy WARNING: error writing to client".

When that happens, I can only use my mouse and keyboard on my XP server. To continue what I was doing on the ubuntu box, I have to move over to the different mouse/keyboard.

Usually about a minute later, it will fix itself and come back.

This is getting old really fast.

Synergy's site was of no help. Can you be?

I asked a mate who uses this on his XP/Vista network. He too sometimes has the problem. Seems to behave itself more when just doing Office type stuff. No real solution, but you can force a reconnect by right-clicking on the server icon.

      That's incredibly annoying.

What does he have for networking equipment?

Also, is there a way to force full duplex in linux?

I get that message sometimes (between two XP machines), when one of the machines is quite occupied with something. But it fixes itself once the load on that machine goes down again...

            Seriously, this is intolerable.
