  • still having problems...

    ok-here's the deal.I bought the g400 and started having video freezups.I'm a previous g200 owner so i know the most normal steps:new drivers,new bios,check irq settings-no luck.I took the board back,they tested it,said no prob,maybe its your o\c celeron300@450.Ok-bought a new celery,400. Still having problems.Reformatted,checked boot sector for viruses,re-flashed bios on m.b. and I'm still pulling my hair out!!!
    HELP!!!
    new c400,A-bit bh6mobo,64megpc100, g400 16m, awe64,40xsony, 3com10\100 ethernet card,clean install win98-1st edition,...not sure what else.oh-dirX7.0.

    A bunch of people have been having problems with Abit boards. As it turns out, most of these problems seem to be a poorly-seated card, due to something with Abit's sizing specs.

      WOW,that seems to be the problem(fingers crossed tightly).Ive been running for over an hour now without a freezup.Thanks.
      (Maybe there should be a recall or public notice sent out).The idiots at the local computer shop made me buy a new CPU,which they told me also i cannot return.
