  • Mozy online backup - 2gb free

Tried this out at home seems really neat. Is basically online backup. You send all the stuff at the start and it just sends incremental from that. Even sends incremental of PST which rocks in my book For business there is www.mozypro.com

    Else it's $5usd p/m for unlimited storage.

To register. If you click the link below I get some free extra storage. Be nice )

If you don't feel nice http://www.mozy.com

I've looked in to professional on-line backup services before. These guys are cheap!

And a month a go they signed a deal for 300,000 employees with a famous light bulb manufacturer.

Businesses and let's face it, most people have more than 2 GB of data when you include email files and music, etc. So eventually the theory is most people will end up paying.

would you trust them with your data? or: is there some way to encrypt my data before I send it to them? (thinking of my 700mb-pst file here...)

              thanks,

Yes they use 444bit Blowfish to encrypt data lots of bits. You can set up your own private key.

Data is encrypted locally before sending.

Would you prefer if data centre was in EU?

We've been using this for some of our clients for a few months now and it's a pretty decent solution. Especially when we can sell them on a LTO tape solution. I actually just signed up yesterday for the $5 a month plan for my personal needs.

I used this about a year or so ago when it first came out. I didn't like the software you had to install on your computer. It seemed buggy and sluggish. Do you guys see these kinds of problems now?
