  • Pioneer releasing $299 Blu-Ray player next month

That'll do it for me. Now I can buy a relatively inexpensive player.

For BR discs all I have to do it switch to BR rentals from Netflix.

Getting cheaper. Wait till version 1.1 rather than 1.0??

It's not a BD player but a PC Drive. What are you going to play your BD movies on??

I just looked at this thing again. Dang it's only a PC drive that plays BD but only records DVD and CD. Not really much use I'm afraid as you will most likely have to change out the PC to get the latest DRM ridden hardware to play these movies..

hmm. so, basically, the XBox 360 HD-DVD drive is still the cheapest way of watching HD movies on a PC.
