    The last stroke of the khamsin season? It has been very mild here this year, compared with all the sand we had over 2004-2006. We get the khamsin about 2-3 times/spring between early March and mid-to-late April. In fact, unless I'm mistaken, I think the word comes from the Arabic for 40 (days).

      50 and I'd say they meant degrees celsius. It's 37 degrees in Tel Aviv today, if not more.

        Thanks for the correction. My Arabic is limited to "Imshee, yala"!!!

        31°C here, but we're 300 m up and have no urban heat island effect. Expect it hotter tomorrow

            hehe, this is the only Khamsin I am familiar with...




            To TransformX, that is an awesome shot whoever the phtographer was, I'm pretty sure the first thing to come out of anyone's mouth in the path of the storm was..."Brace for impact!!!"
