    Ignoring that this proclamation is based on little more than the patches MS has released thus far for Vista, let's hope that an OS that was largely rewritten with security in mind will be more secure than one that is now two years old (eight if you count the very first release). On the other hand, Vista hasn't been out long enough for anyone to make a reasonable assessment of how secure it is.

    Keep in mind that Vista is just as affected by the Java/QuickTime vulnerability as the others.
