True, but even if one could solve that problem, one also wonders if this particular drive will read cartridge-style DVD-RAM discs.

Some DVD-RAM discs can be removed from their cartridges while other DVD-RAM discs can't be removed from their cartridges.

I have a few of the kind that can't be removed.
