I did something stupid and made my primary partition an extended partition, so obviously Windows XP no longer boots. Since I am using NTFS, what is the safest, quickest, easiest way to change the partition back to Primary?

Should I use FDISK? If so, where should I use it from? I lost my Windows XP disk, so I'm not sure if I should just download a copy of XP and boot from that. I have two legit keys for XP, so there shouldn't be any issue. Suggestions? I need to know by the time I go to bed tonight if possible, thanks!
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

I just realized that I could probably use partition magic boot CD? Looking into it...

Lately I've been using a GParted Live CD for all my partition management needs.

I'm not sure if GParted can convert partition types the way that Partition Magic can.

You can get info on GParted here: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
And info on the GParted Live CD here: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
      P.S. You've been Spanked!

Thanks, but my problem somehow sorted itself out, not sure how, but I'm not complaining!
