  • The chip of champions

This question has probably been answered a zillion times 'till now, but here goes:
Do the G400 and G400 MAX boards use the same G400 chip, or is there a G400 MAX chip? If so, are they produced using the same technology (i.e. 0.25m)?
    Currently powered by:
    P3 600EB@700, Matrox G400 32MB DH, QDI Advance 9, 128MB PC133 Goldstar

The Chip's specifications are identical between the two with one exception: the Max is rated for a higher Mhz., meaning it probably came off a better wafer. The differences between the cards are : the Max has @150 mhz clock speed, and 5ns ram that runs at corresponding higher speed. The G400 regular runs at @125 Mhz clock speed, 6ns rated ram that runs at a corresponding lower speed.
