  • TripleHead options?

    Looks like I'm about to have an upgrade forced on me at work. New system will probably be Core2 Duo E6600 (2 x 2.4GHz) on a uATX DQ-965GF with built in gfx and a PCI-E slot, unless I can make a strong case for something else (self-built).

    Currently I have a P4 3GHz with AGP, running a Parhelia 128 with 3*1280*1024. I want to stay triplehead and may have problems getting the money to replace it. I see there is now a Parhelia APVe for ~£200 which would do the trick, but is there another option?

    3*1280*1024 is the max that configuration will allow. Something that would let me swap the centre monitor for my Dell 2407wfp (1920*1200) would be cool. Gaming performance is unimportant.

    The apve is more like a 2.5 heads.

    It'll do 3 monitors in stretch mode. So no 1920x1200 in the middle of two 1280x1024s.

    Same issue with the triple head 2 go.

      With the way monitor prices are going, and the fact that people getting Big Widescreen TFT's are uprading from 4:3 TFT(s) this option should be solved.

      I remember someone using a DELL 24" and two 19" on their sides for a desktop, and it looked very very good. He was using multiple graphics cards though, and it may be the only way.

      At least with the new mobos coming out with 3 PCIe Graphics slots, even at different speeds, having three great cards driving three displays of any size would be a sweet deal...

      edit: could have been two 17" panels on their side, i'm crap with inches.
