  • 5.x drivers problem

I've done a clean install of Windows 98 and installed the new Powerdesk drivers.

I've run both HalfLife and Quake 2, and running Open GL @ 800 x 600 runs perfectly fast and lovely.

    BUT...

HalfLife crashes just like it used to (with the Open GL beta) when I quit game.

    Here's my error message:

HL caused an invalid page fault in
    module OPENGL32.DLL at 016f:05226249.

I'm going to do a clean install of HalfLife (keeping all my pak files and player models of course) and see if this helps.

With the lack of Video Tools I'm a wee bit disappointed, but not giving up hope yet.

A clean install of HalfLife appears to have helped. No more crashes.

Sorry for the hasty post, but I had spent a lot of hours reinstalling up to that point.

I'll keep testing and let you know if I find other problems - if any.

    So far so good.
