Hooters girls, regulars plan protest of Troy's denial of liquor license

The restaurant is fighting the Troy City Council's decision to deny it a liquor license transfer and will enlist about 20 Hooters girls and regulars to picket outside its new, unopened location on Big Beaver and Rochester Road.
You'd think a town with a Big Beaver Road would be more open-minded.

Traffic's so bad there you could hop out of your car, grab a few brews, down some Buffalo wings, ogle some Hooter's girls, come back & the traffic in front of your car won't have moved a bit

And this is far from Detroit's metro area. Troy's a nice city though; ~85,000, upscale, mainly tech & professionals, monster malls & theaters etc.

Shrubbery, grass & small trees. They landscape the medians of divided highways in these parts to prevent weeds & wild grass from taking over. Given time & neglect and they will grow over, between & sometimes through the concrete slabs

              Green everydamnwhere.

When Erik was little it was even work to keep his sandbox plant-free. Sometimes I think the only way to get a bare patch of ground to stay that way around here is the regular application of a flamethrower.
