  • some panoramic stuff from east africa

    hi everybody,

just a short update & some new stuff:

take the time to zoom in - lots of animals to be seen.

pic 2&3: same spot, once rainy season, once dry season. guess which one is which. location: ngorongoro crater

as usual, some more pics here. expect pictures from Mt. Kilimanjaro & Ngorongoro there soon.

    "Lobsters?"
"Really? I didn't know they did that."

      ...

Diplomacy, it's a way of saying “nice doggie”, until you find a rock!

Beautiful photos, particularly the middle one. I'd love to have that for a wallpaper if only it was 1600x1024.

no problem to get a higher resolution, you just have to find a way to crop it properly. suggestions?

as you seem to like the greener season...

the depression to the north-west of the crater, starring the tourist trap maasai-boma (village).

                Awesome shots Wulfy.

                Two questions:

                1. On the panorama of the flamingos, how far away were you? I noticed quite a narrow depth of field, so presumably you were able to get quite close?

                2. Did you break your wrist?

                  1. yeah pretty close & a bit careless with the camera-settings. should have changed the aperture.

                  2. yeah, bad luck again. 20m before the gate to mt. kilimanjaro national park, while taking pictures. didn't stop me though.

                    Excelent using of panoramic shooting.
lighting, colors, everything is in place.
                    simply marvelous.
