  • Call of Juarez Demo (Western FPS)

Just tried the demo - really fun - beware high system requirements, almost unplayable on my card, but only because there is no option to turn off shader 2.0 or whatever it is (my card sucks at dx9.0 stuff even though it is technically dx9).

This card has put me in a bit of a jam, I really don't want to buy a new one with Vista and DX10 coming, and it would still be AGP, but it would be nice to pick something up to tide me over until then. On the other hand, with school coming up again I shouldn't really be playing games...

Can't you use 3DAnalyze to turn those things off?

Any chance it is playabale on a Parhelia...?

Think FarCry in terms of system requirements. I will give that a shot and see how it runs when I get home from work.

It's a cool game. Very detailed and quite playable with slightly old(er) gear. I'm running it on an BBA Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB (3GHz P$/1GB RAM) system and it runs very well with no slowdowns at all.

The demo was a lot of fun. I'm playing it with AMD 3500+, 2GB RAM, and X800 XT PE.
