  • batch MP3 converter?

I've got a directory with about 8GB of MP3 files that I want to reencode at a lower bit rate so I can fit more songs onto my 5GB Creative Zen Micro.

It can play MP3 or WMA music.

What's a good program to use that I can just setup to run as a batch job?

I suppose you can convert all of them into .WAV format using Winamp and then use CDeX to convert them all into your customised MP3 format.

            Thanks guys.

I'm giving DBPowerAmp a try now.

I didn't realise that foobar2k could batch convert. I've used it before but was never happy with the UI.

If DBPowerAmp doesn't give me the results I want then I'll give foobar2k another try.

Nero Burning ROM has an "Encode Files..." feature. It can convert multiple audio tracks into many different file formats in just few seconds (mp3, wav, wma, ogg...).
