    It's free now right?

If so, how do they support themselves?

Does it inject ads or something?
    P.S. You've been Spanked!

they've got a deal with google with the integrated google search box, similar to the deal Google has with firefox I think.

And I guess they use it as free publicity for selling expensive licences for their mobile browser to cellphone manufacturers and network providers

Opera has been making most of its money from their browser for mobile/handheld and other devices. The desktop browser we all know and 'love' has never been a profit maker for them from what I've gathered.

              Y'know, like Netscape.

              *snicker*

And, sadly, it works about as well too.

I am SORELY disappointed that the only browser that "works" properly... is IE6.

              I would still get screwed

As a novice web programmer, I used to like IE6 because no matter how mangled your HTML was, it tried to render it and it often did a good job.

As a slightly more advanced programmer, I'm truly aghast at how crash prone IE 6 is.

                  IE7 is sorely needed!
