  • Copy protection again

Sorry to bore you with this Macrovision thing again, but i have had some problems
    recording non protected videos recently.
I thought of trying the 1.52 patch and see
    if that helps.
I have Matrox G200 marvel and VT 1.52.033
There have been some links posted, but none
of them seem to work now.
So i would be grateful if anyone who have it,
could take the trouble and mail it to me.
    You find the adress above.

It's now my opinion that the best way around Macrovision is to disable it in the DVD deck I'm recording from. My APEX AD660 (firmware: 660-8MM) can do this with a properly burned CD-R containing patched firmware so....

I'm no longer buying pre-recorded tapes if at all possible for this reason.

        Thank you for your replies.
It seems that the links work intermittently.
Today i was able to download the 1.52 patch,
and it looks like it does the trick, because
i had no problem with recording.
But it's still a bit of a mystery, since i had captured from these tapes before and then a month later i get a message "copy protection detected".
I have reinstalled Win98 and upgraded my Matrox Videotools and driver. Could that be the reason? Has the system become more sensitive to disturbances(noise)?
Well whatever, now it works agin.
