Charlie has announced the following on the MUG forum. His book is the best thing since sliced bread. Strongly recommended.
We all know the MUG community is probably the best resource out there for
getting the most out of MediaStudio Pro (and related Ulead products). So
in an effort to make this "best resource" even better, I've decided to
drop prices on the MediaStudio Pro 8 book starting today.
You see, I feel it is in the best interest of .... of ... oh, blah, blah,
blah ... who am I kidding!? I'm not dropping prices to better the
community. I'm dropping prices to move inventory!
The book has been out four months now, and to be perfectly honest, not a
whole lot of people are buying it. This publishing endeavor has never been
about the money (trust me). And I'd much rather lose money on the deal and
get books in people's hands than to hold out for top dollar and sit on a
warehouse full of dust-gathering boxes. Because that's what I have now. A
LOT of boxes gathering dust.
So, starting today, Getting Results with MediaStudio Pro 8:
* Paperback (was $32.95) now $18.95
* Download (was $19.95) now $11.95
* CD-ROM (new format!) now $11.95
Special upgrade prices:
* Paperback for previous GRP/MSP owners (was $27.95) now $16.95
* Download for previous GRP/MPS owners (was $15.95) now $9.45
Prices for downloading first, then changing your mind:
* Paperback after downloading now $11.95
* CD-ROM after downloading now $1.95
Paperback and CD-ROM prices will have applicable sales taxes and shipping
added.

Now the really good news. I know what a painful experience it is to buy
the full price product and THEN it goes on sale. If you've purchased
Getting Results with MediaStudio Pro 8 the last 30, 60, or more days [I'm
leaving it up to YOU to decide what's fair -- no arbitrary cutoff] then
send proof of purchase to rebate@getting-results.com and I'll refund the
difference.
The fine print:
I cannot issue partial refunds on credit cards. For US customers, I can
cut a paper check or refund money via PayPal. For non-US customers, PayPal
is the only option.
