I'll stick to Digital Rebels or some other brand thank you.

Just the Sony label gives me twitches

Just ordered a Nikkor 18-200 VR, anti-shake lens to my Nikon D70. But difficult to get it delivered soon.
      Me too, prefer brand things.

While I don't like Sony Music, and didn't like the crap sony pulled with mp3 players, MemoryStick, etc., this time, things look a little different:

They really seem to be serious about this. 22 new lenses (including some Carl Zeiss T* and some ex-Minolta G glass), 4 new flashes (actually probably slightly enhanced versions of Minolta's), angle viewfinder etc. Build quality is said to be better than Minolta's Dynax 7D, and if it really is, you can crack rocks with this camera. There is only a CF slot, no MS (though a CF-MS adaptor is included).

Bear in mind that Sony Imaging is essentially a different company than Sony Music or Sony Consumer Electronics.
