    It's about time to give Matrox a black eye. Promises made, promises broken. Basically, all of us are affected by the latest turn of events.

      We were all boned, but my point was that Win98 was more or less the OS for the Marvel G400. I am reserving judgement until the new 13 month old long awaited Display Drivers for Win98 Marvel G400 arrive. They had better fix all the damned bugs and better be damned good. I understand many or Matrox's reasons. But, they do hide and avoid telling it's customers what is going on and why. My last point is that some people just refused to understand the W2K situation, that Matrox attempted to make it work, and went a bit out of their way to try, but found it was better to change directions a bit. But they drug the poor (or other choice of words) Win98 users with the fiasco.

        grr.. i'm still of the opinion that poor planning is the cause of this, and the blame lies solely on the shoulders of Matrox. Reading the link This_Idiot pointed to, we've got a nice little concipiracy as to where all the development power went at Matrox.. and i believe it, too..

        I sent Matrox a nice little note saying that "sorry, all support for Matrox products has ceased...". Bit of tongue in cheek, but it's a fact.

          I understand the W2K situation and that is exactly why I'm not buying an RT2500/2000. Working only with Premiere was holding me back, but Premiere 6, now that I've got some experience with it is no longer an issue for me.

          Matrox blames Zoran now, perhaps C-Cube later at XP and beyond. Having been burned on a $300 board I'll not go near a $900 board from Matrox now.
