Win2K YUY2 support

The capture portion for Windows2000 video tools will be the following:
- Marvel G400 will have YUY2 and RGB capabilities.
- RRG and Marvel G200 will have RGB capabilities.
Any gut feelings if there will be a YUY2 hack for us with G200 Marvel’s or the RR-G (as I have both)?

Please, can someone explain why there will be no YUY2 in the G200 drivers? I had an RR-S and upgraded to Marvel G200, but have never seen the need to upgrade to the G400. If all I'm going to have in Win2K (which I recently switched to) is RGB capture, I feel I might as well look elsewhere for a new capture card.

I have a 1Gig PIII and lots of disk space now, but everything I read seems to indicate most on-the-fly software compression codecs use YUV or YUY2 (are they the same?) as source. If my Marvel G200 can't do that and the hardware compession is no longer active, what am I to do?

Please, someone let me know.
