Thanks for your earlier response to my question about the RT2500. (The question was: is the RT2500 really necessary for rendering if you were running it with a fast processor: either Pentium 4 or Athlon T-bird)

However, please let me know if the following summation of your response is correct:

The RT2500 would still be extremely useful in video editing rendering even if I had a motherboard running either a Pentium 4 or Athlon 1.3 Thunderbird?

Yup. The 2500 will do things not even a P4 can do with software rendering. That hardware speeds things up a LOT.
