    That has to be playing to a really small market.. there is no way I would spend as much as I think it will be for a video card. Here I have seen a single 7800GTX with 512MB for more than $1000, so that would make a quad card some $4000+?

      Ah ... I bet this is related the the Quad-SLI announcement that nVidia made with Dell. Apparently Dell is building a Quad-SLI (2 of these dual core cards I would guess, didn't read any of the articles) and an overclocked Intel P-D EE @ 4.2 GHz. That's gonna be one pricey arse system.

      Finally, a use for the 1 KW power supply!

      ...and a system that can run the 30" LCD at decent frame rates.

          each chipset must have its own copy of textures...etc, its more like 4 copies of 512mb
