Thanks Nappe Same to you. At least there's one who's guaranteed a white christmas...

in fact, on my parents place (where that picture has been taken) it's pretty sure have white christmas, though I have heard stories about lakes being not frozen and no snow at all. (1975 this happened last time) So, it's not 100% sure but it's quite rare that christmas would be "black" as we call it when there's no snow.

I had a bit troubles uploading correct image (unprocessed went online accidentally first.) but there's right one.

we always have a white christmas, but we generally have snow anywhere from 4-6+ months a year but it IS winterpeg right now its not too too cold out yet, only about -15 to -20C, its when it gets to be -30 to -35 C with 30-60km winds that it gets really cold

(-35C with 60km/h wind feels like -57 C : according to http://www.weather.gov windchill calculator, mmm frostbite)

coldest I can ever remember it being is close to -70 C with the windchill - makes for one cool PC with some clever ducting!

My girlfriends father just moved to Iqaluit, in Nunavut

-24C rigth now.. -60C-70C apparently not unusual when winter really kicks in
