  • Semi-Annual Parhelia Donation Drive!

No, this thread is not asking for money!

This is my semi-annual drive to find the MURCer out there who is so fed up with their Parhelia that they are willing to donate it to a worthy cause!

Are you sick of your Parhelia's inability to play even the most common of games? Frustrated by Matrox's refusal to fix driver bugs? Ready to throw it at the wall?

    DON'T SMASH THAT CARD!

Instead, send it to me. If it comes down to it, I'll pay shipping (or split it if you live in Cambodia or something). It's charitable, you know it'll be loved, AND it's even tax deductible*.

    Let the donations begin!

    * Unless you get audited, in which case you're screwed since I'm not a registered charity.

    I would still get screwed

Sorry, but my Parhelia's and P-750's are quite busy in editing systems....for which they are spectacularly well qualified. I've even ordered an APVe for an HDV editing rig now under construction.

Sorry, but I'm pleased with my Parhelia...
(even tought it is the 4x model )

The only thing it misses IMO is dualhead independant (DVI+VGA) + TV output, but as I don't often need the TV, I can reboot and switch cables.

I also like my Parhelia, I plan to keep it untill I move to PCIe. Hell I sold most of old stuff laying arround, but I still kept G400 and Millennium PCI for sentimental reasons :-).

I still have 3 Mystiques, all with Rainbow Runners.

Still one of the best analog capture cards around.

I'd gladly trade my g400 and rainbow runner for a P750

Parhelia is sitting in the box somewhere. It's one of the first 100 they produced. Doubt I will part with it though.. still have my G400MAX working in one of my computers.. MillenniumII in another.

I'll race Gurm to it, though Chrono would win

That would cost more in gas than buying my own.

                              Worth a shot? Hmmmm...why not?

Anybody have some spare GFX card that'll be better than the one in sig for gaming, while at the same time worth shipping to PL? (and...also ram, almost any DDR - I'm running it at 266MHz)
I'm not like Gurm, I'm not aiming at Parhelia
