  • Monitor color temperature

Just curious, what color temperature does everyone run their monitor at? I've had mine at 9300k and had wondered if that's typical.

I use both screens at 6500K, it gives more natural colors when looking at or working on pictures.

9300K is typical and perfect for regular office/gaming use.
Graphics professional use 6500K as it gives more natural colors (if the screen is properly calibrated). And if I remember correctly 5000K is used by printing professionals.
      System : ASUS A8N SLI premium, Athlon 64X2 3800+, 2Gb, T7K500 320Gb SATAII, T7K250 250Gb SATAII, T7K250 250Gb ATA133, Nec ND-3520, Plextor PX130A, SB Audigy 2, Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO, 24" Dell 2407WFP.

6500k is the temperature of the sun, which is why they use the term "color temperature." If you want things to look like they would in natural sunlight, this is the setting to use. If you use 9300k, you are looking at things as they would be if the Earth were orbiting, say, Altair or Sirius.
