Matrox RT2000 Capture Crash

I have just bought a custom built system based around the RT2000. The first machine was sent back as it crashed every 3-4 minutes. The new machine is fine until I capture some material from analogue tape, once I have done this the machine usually either freezes or loses the video overlay (both screens go black and the external screen goes blank). Once I have re-booted I can capture another clip and then it crashes and so it goes on.

Once I have captured the clips and rebooted the editing side appears stable
Any ideas?

Where did you buy this machine from ? Seems like they could be a good place to avoid. I hope you can get your money back and invest with someone that provides a tested product. There are a couple of places that I can think of, so feel free to drop me an email.
