  • marvel g400 mjpeg capture

    i just got my g400 card for the mjpeg capabilities, but am disappointed so far with the results. i also get dropped frames every now and then in large numbers with avi_io, though i didnt with my all in wonder.

    any suggestions on how to get the best quality and stop lost frames?

    Perform these Windows optimizations;

    then check your dropped frames again.

    You can ignore the ones about disabling the clock, printer and recycle bin. They are not as important as the others.

      i have done these optimisations (128 mb vram) and i still lose big chunks of frames. i was also told to change res. i don't understand why it has anything to do with capturing since i thought it was about how fast you can write to the HD. i did lower the res to 1024 though and i didnt lose frames in the 5 mins i captured. i'm borrowing a scsi HD tomorrow so i'll try capturing to that. it's only a 4.5gig but it's enough to cap an ep to.
