  • G550 - different colour profiles for dual monitors?

PostPosted: Tue Sep 27, 2005 1:54 pm Post subject: G550 - assigning colour profiles to separate monitors? Reply with quote
I am running XP Pro SP2. I have a G550 with a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930SB as primary and a NEC MultiSyncFE770 as secondary.
I've got the profile files and want to assign one to each monitor.
Procedure: display properties > settings. Select 1. Mitsubishi 930 from the drop down box > advanced > colour managment.

As you see, it thinks the current monitor is the 770. The display properties window is on the 930 when I go thru all this so thats not the problem. How do I do this?

Cannot be done on G series cards.
P series cards have this ability (with the proper software).
    Core2 Duo E7500 2.93, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, 4gig 1066 DDR2, 1gig Asus ENGTS250, SB X-Fi Gamer ,WD Caviar Black 1tb, Plextor PX-880SA, Dual Samsung 2494s

      Hi Kruzin
I asked this same question on the Matrox tech forum and they said: XP also has limitations. The OS will not allow you to load 2 ICC profiles.
When you say - the proper software - what would that be? I use the NEC/Mitsubishi Naviset software to control the screen settings.
      Thanks

When Parhelia first came out, it was bundled with a program called coloreal. This software would allow you to control all 3 displays of P. They have since stopped bundling this software with the cards. I believe there are others that can do it, but not on G series, it's a hardware limitation on those.
