Well I've burn some videos today (SVCD) and
it is pretty easy using drag and drop. Using
mpeg file (352x240?), yes my old mpeg1 test
video recompress to 480x480 by videostudio5.
Using goDVD to burn (built-in NTI utility)
    here is the spec of the output;

    Vol ID : Ulead_SVCD
    Dir: EXT,Mpegav,Segment,and SVCD

My old Apex standalone DVD player recognized
the disc as SVCD and played flawlessly which
    include interactive menu selections...
I was amazed by the quality even though it
was created from a low resolution mpeg1..

Tommorrow I will to burn miniDVD using a
    full resolution file...

Sounds good. Now, if only an MSPro version would hit their site....

      Harry, you said played "flawlessly".
What happens when you are playing the SVCD and press the fast-forward or reverse buttons on the Apex remote?

        Apex FF,FR buttons works on 1x, 2x..
kinda advance/reverse by frame same as VCD, not like DVD some disc disable these
        features...

Have test also multi-interactive menu(3pages). and it works very well too.

I would like you all know that I have
tried to burn DVD format today using
cdr. Burned as usual using goDVD, the
output run very well on powerDVD,interactive
menu run smoothly and the quality is very
good. But both my apex and SOny doesn't
          recognized the disc.
          the vol id: Ulead_DVD
          and files ;Audio_ts and Video_ts

The problem is that you created what would be considered a "miniDVD". You have to use the SVCD or VCD option to playback in stand alone machines. When you place the disc in the player it recognizes that it is a CD and will look for the appropriate volumes. If not then you get the no disc error.

            Note: SVCD=MPEG2 at 480*480 <2600kb/sec for NTSC
