  • Marvel G400 drivers from adis

I just found out that someone has made third party drivers for the Marvel G400 on XP (yeah this is probably VERY old new).

But the site is down (http://adis.szm.com) and I can't find them anywhere else. Does anyone know where I could download a copy.

    Thanks

            same problem for me.
I've an Marvel G400-TV card for long and is really happy with it.
Now I've to move finally from w98se to XP and found out that the official XP driver for G400-TV lacks support for Mjpeg video capture, and there is a patched videotool
(named videotool 3.05 from Adis ?) which can enable the video capture feature on XP.
Unfortunately, I cannot found the file because the originaly URL for the file is closed.
Could anybody who have this file at hand can post it for download ?

            Thanks

maybe you need to find some ''unofficial matrox technical'' support.

                    Hello Adis,

Did you close http://www.matroxers.com/ website or is there a technical problem with the website?

                          Thanks for your upload Adis.
I've installed the videotool and tried it.

                          There is one problem :

When I capture video, sometime the pcvcr program will "forget" to split the output to multiple file (the avi file should not exceed 2GB according to spec ?)
The result is that the videa part is "Wrapped" to the begining of file while the audio
                          kept written as normal.

Dose anybody has experience with this problem and has any solutions to avoid it ?

                          Thanks

                            It's known issue.

Use some other video capturing tool and good compressor for YUY2. AVI_IO works fine with Marvel and PICVideo MJPEG is good codec. HUFFYUV is also good but captured files are much bigger than pvmjpeg compressed ones.

Another ressurect here (gosh I hav'nt post here since years!!!)

I can't find Video Tools 3.x from Adis anywhere.

Got an old Marvel G200 w/16MB + DVD add-on that runs fine into a PIII 866 (fastest PC I could find with AGP 5V slot). I had a friend who worked at Matrox in Montreal and who bought me this card long time ago.

I runs over XP SP3 and Matrox 5.82 and VidTools 2.10a... I just want the TV tuner to work, I don't care about capture and everything and well, everything runs fine except when closing the PC-VCR remote... BSOD 1 time on 2 with the following:

                              *error message* rr2vbi.sys

                              DRIVER_LEFT_LOCKED_PAGES_IN_PROCESS

I found a post that suggest to uses the Task Manager and uses End Now instead but this computer is installed in the friend's room and I want TV to work on it. Mostly my mom will uses it when she's be in visit and obviously, I don't want her to do tweaky trick she would have to do and I want the PC to be stable too of course!

I read that Vid Tools 3.x from ADIS could resolve my issues but I CAN'T FIND THEM!!!

                              Anybody help me please?
