    I don't see how they're much different than R/C models...wake me up when air vehicles depending on "bug aerodynamics" will show up...

      They aren't much different, which is a great example of why the military should be using off the shelf components modded to military requirements. Lower cost but they still give you intel you couldn't get otherwise.

        I tend to agree with Nowhere here: small GPS and cameras are common knowledge, RC planes can already get very small, so the main difference probabely is autonomy and perhaps useful payload.

        Still, with a name like cyberbug, I expected something closer to ... euhm ... well... a bug.

          Made me think of "Cyberdyne"..

          I guess you could fly one of those things at about 12ft above a crowded street with a canister of nerve gas.. that's weapon enough.

              Weapons? Give me 1 lb of high explosive and enough light to steer the thing into a car and whoever's in it is history. More than enough for many targets & $8k is a cheap cruise missile.
