Thanks for th heads up, by the time it's released my kids wil be old enough to enjoy it

However, I see this as another Thunderbirds which I believe flopped in the big screen!
Transformers however may be another story.

    Regards,
    Elie

I bought this DVD set: http://www.grendizer.net/Force_Five_Grandizer_DVD.html

It's truly awesome. A real labour of love by the guy who put it all together.

The quality is very high. I recommend it.

Hey... Did you watch Force Five?!

Everyone I knew when I was a kid watched it but I haven't met any adults that even remember it.

In grade 4 I LIVED for Force Five.

              FORCE FIVE RULES!

At the time my favorite was the Spaceketeers, and Gai King.

But in retrospect Starvengers and Grandeizer were the best.

              Danguard Ace... not so much.

Mazinga Z? I remember a show called "Tranzor Z". Is that what you're thinking of?

Edit: I feel sheepish - Mazinga is the original Japanese name!

I had purchased two models from Hobby Link Japan and it was called Mazinger. It had primarily diecast metal body, plastic chest fins and scrambler and multiple magnetically attached arms.

Actually, you've got it all wrong. It was the Americans that changed it. It's Japanese anime, after all.

The robot Mazinger Z (pronounced "Majingâ Zetto" in Japanese) is based on the Japanese "majin" (Japanese for "devil" or "evil spirit").
