I've always thought that pro athletes should play as long as they want to and are able; but, unlike a Jerry Rice or Rickey Henderson it's nice to see one retire at such a perfect moment.
He broke the record once and retired by breaking it again, no decline or tarnished legacy. Good for Lance.

When a guy overcomes testicular cancer and then comes back to have 3 kids and 7 Tour de France wins in a row, you think almost anything is possible. Good show.
