DVI Support for G400 MAX?

O.K....it's been too long since I posted here. I'm reworking my system (an "old" P4 1.8gz) and dumping the nVidia card for my old reliable G400 Max. The system will primarily be used for digital imaging (read Photoshop).

Here's the kicker - my wife wants to get flat panel displays. I've seen adapters that convert the VGA output to accept the DVI cable. Are these worthwhile and would they work on the G400?

most lcd panels also have a VGA input.
I'm using the VGA input on my Dell 2005fpw with my G400 and the picture is plenty sharp - no adapter required.
