    Looks like good eSATA equipment is starting to hit Found these while googleing for SATA-II parts:

    Drive multiplier support basically means that you can operate multiple drives off a single external connector. So in this case you can control all five drives independently off a single cable, or build a RAID array. The HTPC implications are staggering. You could build a 2 TB RAID 5 array for ~$2500 or a 1.6 TB RAID 5 array for ~$2000, or a paultry 1 TB RAID 5 for $1250 ... AND it will run like all the drives were sitting inside a server case.

    Now ... how to scrounge up a spare grand or two.
