  • NTSC on PAL video

If I play NTSC tapes on a PAL VHS (I don't know if it is NTSC compatible) will they play all right so long as I take the composite video signal to an NTSC compatible data projector (or my Marvel G200 or an NTSC compatible TV) or does the VHS have to be NTSC compatible too.
    Thanks,
    Dave

The VCR needs to be NTSC compatible too
You will get a Black & white picture at a slower speed if you're VCR is not NTSC compatible
also it may damage the VCR if the NTSC tape is played for long time (10mins +)
(auto tracking has fits trying to sync 60fps into 50fps)
the NTSC color signal is destroyed when pushed though the VCR's PAL circuits
