  • The REAL King Tut

NOT murdered; he died of gangrene after breaking his leg.

Definitely a handsome young man. One could easily imagine him being a very charismatic leader if he'd lived longer.

Please remember that in ancient Egypt eye makeup was the norm for upper class males, as was shaving the head and body.

Still looks like Barbara Streisand to me.. without makeup that would still look androgenously ugly imho.

And I'm sure they would have seen you as a vile vagrant. Nevermind that facial reconstructions of this sort aren't exact and often can't accommodate for facial blemishes and the like.

It's amazing how much we are relearning through modern techniques and how much prior theories are being debunked.

How do you get gangrene from breaking your leg unless the bone is exposed?
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

As a guess, I would say the blood flow to the lower leg was cut off - pinched vein/artery. with the heat in egypt, it would be easy to see it turning bad quickly.

Yup. Vascular compromise can easily turn into a gangrene.
