  • HP LightScribe... so slow

I have "printed" a CD-ROM with a HP DVD drive with LightScribe option.
The idea is good, but 30 minutes to print a CD isn't the fast thing.
I have a Epson R300 and takes 4 minutes... at full color (LightScribe only b/w).
    Only for your information.

It's too bad that the scribing takes so long. I hope they can speed that up quite a bit because its an intriguing approach. Its been quite a while since LightScribe was announced and I'm surprised that the technology hasn't further advanced.

I suppose DVD scribing is supported as well ... is that true? I haven't labeled any of my DVDs out of concern of data corruption down the line. The white top BeAll DVDs are showing big failure rates over a short period of time.
