  • New drivers for Parhelia/P650/P750 cards

    ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archive..._01_018_hf.exe

A quick look at the .inf files tells me that there is a support for the following cards also:
    - Matrox Parhelia APVe
    - Matrox Millennium P650 PCIe 128
    - Matrox Millennium P650 PCIe 64
    - Matrox Millennium P650 LP PCIe 128
    - Matrox Millennium P650 LP PCIe 64

Can anyone explain why they intend to release both 64MB and 128MB versions of both "normal" PCIe and PCIe Low-Profile cards??

    Why not?
According to the latest official figures, 43% of all statistics are totally worthless...

Does it make any difference in terms of performance?
Well yes it does, if those two cards have different clock speeds...

Matrox do quite a bit of business in the multi 2d display niche(eg signs/messageboards..etc), 64mb is probably plenty for those.

And they seem to like retro technolgy

so, what says the inf-file; is it for "normal" parhelia, too ?
          i don't wanna load 11megs if i don't have to (dial-up...)

Any chance of running spec view perf with the new ones?
