  • Which G400's will my RR-g Series work on?

I am considering sending my G200 into semi retirement and would like to get a card with a bit more oomph in the 3d department and retain excellent 2D quality.

However I still want to get more use out of my Rainbow runner G series card.

Which of Matrox's later cards support the RR-G? I beleive that the G450 and some 400's do not.

    TIA

The G450 certainly does NOT. It has no feature connector to plug the RR-G into.

As far as any incompatable G400's go I'll leave that to those who have used one.

      Hi,
With my Rainbow Runner G I am using a Millennium G400 MAX. The only G400's that it is not compatible with are the ones without DualHead.

Avoid the singlehead version of the G400's they do not support the RR-G.

Hmmm, looks like nobody stocks the G400 any more! plenty of G450's around.

Matrox store uk has some refurbished units coming soon, I'll have to have a rethink.
