  • What's the best way to TV-Out your video?

I was wondering what the best way was to TV-Out a video. I've never done this before so I don't know much about it. How would I go about actually getting it to output the video from the BOB? and also, what resoultion does the video have to be? what aspect ratio? does the desktop resoultion need to be changed before outputting it?

    Hi,

Are you using a Matrox solution? If so, here is what I do:

-Connect either composite or s-video cables from the output side of the BOB to the device I want to watch/record video.

-Turn the DVDMax option on. This on the Dual Head tab of the display settings.

-Set the desktop resolution to at least 800x600 with 16bit color.

-Load up the player in AVI_IO with the different AVIs.

-Let AVI_IO play the queued files.

That is really it. Once you set everything up once, I do not really change anything.

I was kind of wondering the same thing as I have some AVI's I want to watch on TV.. after looking at some other forums, the consensus seems to be that the best TV-Out solution is by using a Scanline Converter, ie: www.aitech.com
I am really thinking about buying the MultiPro 2000. Any comments? It's about $200.
