  • HELP- Capturing a single frame to jpg

I have a sony trv11 and a pyro pro capture card with MSP6.0. When I try to capture a single frame to a jpg using F8 key, the jpg file seems to be a bit blurry - just as it is when I'm viewing a capture. My captures aren't clear till I edit them or render them. Is there anyway to create a jpg from DV other then in the capture mode that may produce a clearer picture for printing to a photo printer? The video I'm trying to capture to a jpg has very little movement. Am I doing something wrong? TIA

One thing is to not save as a *.jpg. *.bmp's won't be recompressed when you save them and should look better when the source is problematic.

Also the default *.jpg save settings are 4:1:1 colorspace with 75% quality. Try changing this to 4:2:2 at 100%.

I've not played with MSP6 much yet, but the older versions allowed you to export an image sequence from a captured clip. I always found that this gave much better results than single-frame captures
