What's a good 7.1 receiver?

Should I go Yamaha? I guess I can't go wrong if I bought it from a stor that specializes in audio like 'Bay Bloor Radio" here in Toronto.
My cheap Pioneer is now acting up and want to upgrade to a bigger better receiver and immediately thought of Yamaha.

Any idea's more than welcome

Well, if it has to be a receiver, Yamaha is one of the best, but you knew I'd say that.

My personal favorite of the curent group is the RX-V1500. Same power supply as the $1000 RX-V2500 for $200 less.
